ChatGPT's snarky advice on how you too can become a TikTok star
Is this really all there is to it?
I’ve published a whopping total of two Tiktok posts so far. The second one has gotten almost 800 views and 90+ likes, which I’ve heard isn’t half bad for a nobody just starting out.
I was curious to find out what I could do to follow up on this very minor success. And so of course, I turned to ChatGPT, the expert on everything. I’m becoming a little obsessed with testing things out on ChatGPT, Bard AI, and Bing AI’s chatbots — to be fair to myself, in my irl job one of the things I do is professional writing — and this seemed like a fun way to see if there’s any take-aways that could be helpful while potentially being funny or interesting as a Substack post.
A quick note before getting to what ChatGPT had to say. There are a number of unofficial Chrome extensions that are now available for ChatGPT. One I’ve been using is Superpower ChatGPT, which among other things lets you tell ChatGPT what tone and writing style you want your chatbot to reply with. (This isn’t an ad for the plugin, but if you’re interested you can check it out here. There are a lot of plugins / extensions out there!)
So here’s what an emotional, satirical ChatGPT told me would help me become successful at Tiktok. What do you think, is this accurate about what it really takes to become a Tiktok star? Please let me know on Substack, Twitter, Mastodon, or I guess on Tiktok, too!
